- FAFAXXXX.PRG
- ------------
-
- This strange little program is supposed to make FastRAM available
- for use with the Afterburner, but I don't know anyone who is able
- to successfully use it in this capacity. It normally results in
- crashes or other problems. As usual, the ToolKit driver is the
- best way to allocate FastRAM, but you may want to try this out
- of curiosity...
-
- I have included it here for the sake of completeness, but it is
- not likely to be of much use, at least in the case of most cards.
-
- To configure FAFA, just rename it to choose the number of megs
- you have plugged into your Afterburner. FAFA16.PRG would enable
- 16MB of RAM. FAFA8.PRG would enable 8MB of RAM etc. etc.
-
- I don't know what the limit is for this program, but it is probably
- dependant on the arragement of your SIMM slots.
-
- Each slot has 32MB of address range, so there will be a significant
- 'gap' between each slot if the simms are less than 32MB. I don't
- think FAFA can deal with gaps in the FastRAM, unlike the ToolKit
- driver, which closes gaps automatically.
